In the Akan language of Ghana, the word and symbol Sankofa means to go back and retrieve. In honor of Black History Month, this Sankofa Black Heritage Celebration will feature spoken word; capoiera, a Brazilian martial art; author Dee Brown; African dance; praise dance; rap; and African fashions.
