Black History Month: African‐American Genealogical Research, Is It Different And How?

Is African‐American genealogical research different from other ethnic backgrounds? The answer will enhance participants’ research skills by teaching them how and where to look. Find out from Marjorie Sholes, an expert on African‐American research. Sholes is one of the foremost authorities on African‐ American genealogical research in America; she even helped retired football player Emmitt Smith find his slave ancestors on Who Do You Think You Are? African‐American Genealogical Research is the first of two programs she is presenting on the Feb. 16. Come to the library for one or both programs.
