Former Tampa City Council Member (elected 1971‐1974; appointed 1978‐1979) and Hillsborough County Commissioner (elected 1980‐1983) Joe Kotvas will discuss his book Men of the Invisible War, The Third Invasion of North America. Kotvas describes the story as one “of love, faith and hardships, suffering and dying. It's the story of the dead crying out to be heard and remembered. It's their story, a story about a forgotten war fought on American soil, about the invasion of America no one really knows or remembers except for those very few remaining who fought there.”

In the film, Skeeter, a southern society girl, returns from college determined to become a writer, but turns her friends' lives and a small Mississippi town upside down when she decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families.
