    Concert: Rod MacDonald
Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library, 2902 West Bearss Avenue, Tampa

  • Rod MacDonald has been entertaining audiences throughout his 35-year music career in North America, Europe and Australia with his timeless ballads, modern folk songs, musical versatility, and his wry humor. This is Rod’s second concert for the Hillsborough County Public Library System.

"Politics, passion and a sense of humor," writes New York’s Village Voice, accurately describes Rod, whose passion and personal commitment to communicating events that effect and shape our world’s societies is evident in much of his music. As evidenced by his most recent release, After the War, Rod seamlessly weaves romantic ballads in between his trademark tongue-in-cheek sociopolitical commentaries. With lyrics that are infectious and inspiring, often humorous, sometimes reckless, frequently evocative, usually thought provoking – and always compelling, Rod’s music will stay in your head long after the concert has ended.
