PRIDE AND PASSION EXHIBIT GRAND OPENING CEREMONY

  • Join us for a reception featuring Negro Leagues experts Dr. Lawrence Hogan and Dr. Robert Cvornyek, acclaimed book author/illustrator Kadir Nelson, Sharon Robinson, daughter of Jackie Robinson, former Negro League players and a special guest appearance by former Belmont Heights Little League player and baseball legend Gary Sheffield. Book signing will follow and light refreshments will be offered.

    Throughout the day, patrons can pick up a Wii-mote to play baseball or enjoy a segment of Baseball a film by Ken Burns.

    Companion events to the Pride and Passion traveling exhibit are co-sponsored by the Florida Humanities Council, Friends of the John F. Germany Public Library, Ada T.
