Dive Into Archaeology

In this program, learn the basics of archaeology and about some of Florida’s shipwrecks. Archaeologists from the Florida Public Archaeology Network at USF will give a presentation on underwater archaeology and shipwrecks, and teach hands-on activities, such as build-a-boat.


For teens in grades 6 to 12.

Presented in partnership with the Florida Public Archaeology Network. This program is part of the Viva Florida 500 celebration, a statewide initiative led by the Florida Department of State to highlight the 500 years of historic people, places and events in Florida since the arrival of Juan Ponce de León in 1513.
