Well-known jazz duo Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau (vocalist) conclude Black History Month at the library by crafting a celebration in song honoring the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald. They present an intimate concert of vocals with piano and bass, filled with warmth and humor highlighting Fitzgerald’s life from her Apollo Theater debut at age 16 to her retirement. The program is filled with memorable choices from the Great American Songbook series.
