Mebeku the tortoise loves his smooth, shiny shell, but still wishes for more. If only he could fly like a bird, he could attend Falcon’s delicious banquet high in the sky. Alas, Mebeku learns the hard way that greed and deceit can cause a lot of trouble. Celebrate Black History Month with this traditional trickster West African folktale featuring bright, colorful puppets.

For children ages 4 and up.
