Sankofa Black Heritage Celebration at the John F. Germany Public Library

Sankofa is an Akan symbol meaning "Go back and retrieve." This program will feature spoken word, African dance, "praise" dance, rap and African fashions.

Author Dee Brown, former Hillsborough High School graduate, will be on hand on to discuss his works and Mabilli and Angie B from community radio station WMNF 88.5 will also be part of the festivities.
